So we are heading off to Big Sound soon and for those who are in the know, its the place to be for all things related to the music industry, but for those who are like “hey, what is this big sound you talk of”, here are some deets to get you up to speed.
Big Sound 2012 will be held on the 12-14th September. Now in its 11th year, Big Sound has a reputation as the best and most relevant music industry event in Australia. Produced by QMusic, Big Sound is positioned as Australia’s most internationally focused conference. Big Sound draws top national and international industry talent to Brisbane each year, forming a vibrant collection of musicians, buyers and industry experts to create an environment of new music discovery.
The three-day Big Sound conference program has a substantial reputation around the world for its cutting edge topics and down to earth approach in tackling issues in what is one of the world’s most rapidly changing industries. The ever growing Big Sound Live program delivers a unique tastemaker-friendly atmosphere. Big Sound Live allows the public seamless access to live and original music throughout the program in a variety of Fortitude Valley clubs and venues across two nights. Big Sound Live 2012 is presented by Oztix and will see 120 bands over 12 venues for one of the most exciting industry festivals and showcases in the Southern Hemisphere.
