BIOGRAPHY

Since forming in 2011 The Curse of Mary Sue have made an impressive start into their burgeoning career. Their debut single ‘Hoguera Noche’ was released in mid 2012 to a great response. It received airplay locally on 2NSB North Shore’s 99.3FM’s Rockabilly, Punk, Ska and Swing show, Liquored Up and Lacquered Down. It received airplay internationally on Gashouse Radio’s Flathead Fever show in Philadelphia PA as well as Road Dog’s Radio, in Saint Petersburg, Florida. The single was also featured on Off The Record’s Less Talk, More Punk Vol 2 CD in Blunt Magazine.

The band themselves have been consistently playing shows around town, everywhere from club nights and pubs to Roller Derby matches gaining themselves a loyal following of fans and bloggers alike.

2013 saw them head into the studio to record their debut EP ‘My Favourite Game’, which received a great response. Now, taking over everything from Triple J Unearthed radio to community radio in Sarasota, Florida, 2014 sees The Curse of Mary Sue building on their recent exposure and their collective of dedicated followers from Australia and around the world.
